re: Traffic Camera Ticket in Laffy - Boondock Saint

re: Japan - A Review of Tokyo and Kyoto - Lots of Food! - Boondock Saint
I want to see, outside of sumo of course, one of those techno robot dance show things I saw on that travel/expedia commercial.
There are plenty of weird shows and entertainment options in Tokyo. I was waking up early every day and am not much of a bar person so I actually didn't ...

re: Japan - A Review of Tokyo and Kyoto - Lots of Food! - Boondock Saint
I was in the Osaka rail station once and there were signs exactly like Cafe du Monde logos for a cafe there which didn't have beignets or have any tie to the NOLA-based Cafe du Monde.
Here it is! I took so many pictures I originally left this out. I actually assumed it was off...

Part 2 continued from above: So the best sushi I had by far was at a restaurant that was recommended by someone on this board. I made reservations a week in advance and the sushi chef was originally from Tokyo, but had been living in the USA for years with a famous sushi restaurant in NYC. He h...

Japan - A Review of Tokyo and Kyoto - Lots of Food! - Boondock Saint
I went to Japan in April and I have just discovered this board. Here is my in depth review with a lot of pictures (tons of food pictures). Japan is an awesome country with a culture that is very different from ours. I was initially taken aback by how quiet and courteous everyone is. No shouting...

re: India (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur) - Boondock Saint
Thanks for all the suggestions! Booking hotels right now. Finding some really great places for around $100 a night. Might splurge and do a nice palace for a night or two. Thanks for the tip on the truck stops. We are definitely going to hire a private driver. I emailed the guy you had yester...

re: India (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur) - Boondock Saint
Thanks! Yep, the money is not really the issue. I would like to travel by train because I enjoy it, but it would be nice and easy to have a private driver. I'm kind of torn. I've done a bit of international travel, but this is my first trip to India. What about hotels? In general, I find they...

re: Emirates Airline. Anyone? - Boondock Saint
14K for economy, 50K for first class.
This is for some crazy roundabout way to get to Paris. You would have to go to Dubai first. No one would actually do that. So, if you were going to Dubai for example around that time it would be about $1,000 to $1,500 for economy which i...
What is it about FIRST CLASS you don't understand. Now do that search and post it.
Sorry, I didn't realize we were only talking about travel for the ultra wealthy. Most people don't need a private suite with a shower. Business class is very luxurious and reasonable, economy even...

re: Emirates Airline. Anyone? - Boondock Saint
Definitely not a good airline for traveling to Europe! You should want to go to Dubai first, and then stay there or go somewhere else in the Middle East or Asia. Prices are pretty reasonable as long as you do this....
