My 17 year old land cruiser just turned 200k. Never left me stranded.

Been out of the thread for a while.

BUT, smoother ride, better engine, more torque and horsepower, better technology, more quiet, interior is nicer, better frame, more towing capability, etc.

Own a z71 and do not regret.

I want a J60 model badly.....late 80's model after the facelift preferably. I love the original 4Runners as well from that era.

You got a 2015? I test drove one with a gas V6 and was shocked at how good of a vehicle it was. Those things are going to take sales from full sized trucks.

I'd drive one of these too:

Currently have an 06 4Runner SE 4X4 about to hit 140k miles. (the pic is not mine). Never had an issue with it. That V6 engine runs like a top.

Toyota's quality has fallen significantly over the past few years.

This is common knowledge and everyone but the lemmings know this.

I was completely objective between all mid sized trucks for 2015 models. I test drove all of them. And the 2015 GMC/Chevys won me over. I went with Chevy. Toyota was a close 2nd. Everyone dissing the new GM mid sized trucks, go drive one and report back.

Meh...Not sure that is completely accurate. It has fallen a little in some rankings. That said, if you really believe a Buick is better long-term than a Toyota, more power to you!

While I'm not going to criticize your decision, pretty much every NEW vehicle is the GOAT. Check back in 8 yrs and 159K miles; that's what my '06 Tacoma has on it.

This is not really true. Had it dropped slightly, yes. Still more reliable than any other manufacturer.

why do you think Toyota owners hold onto their vehicles so long? Reliability is a big factor but the need to jump into the latest model like other manufacturers just isn't there exactly because of this.

toyotas are great cause they subliminally get their customers to not buy more cars... this is a retarded thread. you drive a shitty arse tacoma, get over it.

So, you buy a car because you know you will need another one soon, and you go back to that same manufacturer? OK

I guess the thought never occurred to you that building a quality, reliable car would actually create repeat customers for a car company.

Let me guess, you are a UAW worker.

my company continues to make advances and features that make new models more appealing. Sorry your toyota doesn't make anything more appealing than your 8 year old taco truck

Relative to what they were, I see it as a significant drop. This is especially apparent in the number of recalls they've had.
I blame their constant pressure on supplier s for lower and lower costs.
