first, what exactly do you consider an "ambulance chasing attorney?" Do you mean high volume car wreck attorneys?

I am a lawyer, but I'm not offended at all. I stand by the way I conduct myself.
I just do this everyday, so I'm probably too deep into the thick of it to see it from a wide lens. That's why I like getting opinions from non-lawyers who aren't in it every day.

Ah, so we are referring to advertising attorneys? I have to say I am not in complete disagreement on many of the tv ads i see. I worked for a very reputable firm. When the founding partner announced his retirement the managing partner subsumed the firm and started running tv ads and i found another position. But I think it was because knowing him, it was not about helping injured clients but solely about him putting a rarri in his garage.
Advertising attorneys are a special group as their only goal is to sign you up and refer you to an actual litigator. In order to maintain referrals, the litigator is forced to take a lot of shite to keep the good cases.

You can do this without filing frivolous claims. Although some of these people really suck. And the ones who run the class action ads on TV are horrible. But Morris Bart, who im sure everyone thinks of a huge piece of shite, is actually a really great guy. He's very approachable, gives back tons to the community, and enjoys training young lawyers. My beef with him is he set the plaintiff attorney market. But I respect the hell out of the man. He transformed a profession.
