Huh? The US has always been known as one the most productive countries in the world.

That's not the same as efficient.

It's hard to be efficient when you've got so many lazyasses laying on your leg.

for the record, I don't think the standard of living is higher in most if not all Eastern European countries

It's not. I'd call it second world. But it's fricking awesome. The booze is cheap and the women are gorgeous. And they actually dress like human beings when they leave the house as opposed to the lazy skanks over here who apparently think oversized tees and nike shorts are acceptable attire for public.

the female discussion is for a different thread, but I can agree with you. I do think women in the U.S who dress better and are more worried about their looks are first or second generation immigrants that have been raised in that type of culture (south American, eastern European, etc)

Yes, but even those with "no health insurance" in America are still often better than in those socialized countries. If you break your arm in America, you can go to any emergency room and get treated quickly regardless of your insurance.

Then you get a bill for $12,000.

because people don't pay and we are over-insured due to government policies

It's not just sorority girls. Go to a supermarket or an airport and tell me how many women are dressed presentable.

I would say on a given day, I do about 15 minutes of real, actual work.

i dont know if you linked that to prove us wrong or something but it kind of reinforces our point.

americans are unhealthy and mix in the insane amount of people that are abusing the system, the people that go there for legit reasons are screwed.

half the people that go to the hospital have no business being there or theyre looking for drugs

We work too many hours here in the States, but we are extremely inefficient and lazy

Yeah, with the amount of fricking off the average American does on an 8-9 day, I'm sure many new efficiencies could be explored to maximize productivity while limiting other costs (could be as simple as the electricity used by computers surfing the web).

Europeans, by the way, are pretty fricking lazy (lazier than we). They seem to get done what they need to, however (as do we, with a few more hours browsing TD and facebook).

Makes me think of when I used to get ISS in high school. Could finish all my work from all my classes in less than 2 hours instead of having to sit around doing busy work that I would in normal class and waste 8 hours at school. I could just listen to music the rest of the day or sleep.
