I would rather work fewer days. There is no difference between a 6hr day and an 8hr day if you have to drive to work in the first place. I like working 12s and having numerous days off every other week.

Agree with this. Work as much as you need to in order to do your job at a high level and go home. Doesn't matter if it's 6 hours or 12 hours.

My old job I had a rotating schedule and loved it

5x8s
4x9s and a 4
4x10s
then back to 5x8s

Wouldn't want to do more than 10s though

Incorrect.
I have been to Sweden, and I would say without a doubt their lifestyle and quality of life is better than we have it. There is a reason the Scandinavian countries are always the top for quality of life

Huh? The US has always been known as one the most productive countries in the world.

And? You can still produce a lot while also being inefficient.

They are probably referring to their living arrangements. Many European homes are much smaller than here, and have inferior finishes (kitchens, bathrooms, etc...).

But we also have a higher standard of living. We work harder because we want more money to have luxuries most of the world doesn't even dream of.

Did you get this from the Cadillac commercial?

If one judges quality of life and standard of living on this, then yes America definitely has Sweden beat.

How does this work for the jobs like construction or working in a plant or at a factory? Office types can work 6 hours a week and get their work done because most spend 2 hours a day fricking off on the OT or similar sites. Are factories in Sweden going to have to hire a whole extra shift of workers to cover for the lost hours?

February is usually Sweden's coldest month, with temperatures from - 22 to -3°C. In northern Sweden, winter temperatures often drop to -30°C, sometimes even lower. Snow covers the ground in southern Sweden from December to April, and in northern Sweden the first snowfall is often already in October. Most of the country is icebound in winter, but special icebreaking boats keep the major ports open.

I think this can be true for white collar workers.

What about blue collar?

Have you lived there? No. In April, the cold lets up. And from May-October the weather is glorious. And Northern Sweden is pointless to talk about unless you consider Alaskan weather American as well

I don't know if this is entirely true.
