When I sold cars I only had two people come in that didnt want to finance. One paid with a credit card, the other was an old lady had her grandson with her. We got settled on a price she says "Jimmy, go out to the truck and get that shoe box from under the seat." Old bird had rolls of 100's in there. I asked her if she needed a younger man in her life, she said no...

I'd love to find all these dealerships that will let you run a card for a 50k vehicle.

Me too, I was happy he let me run $4k.

I bought a car last month for $15K and wrote a personal check for $12K on the spot.

Electronic x-fer or cashiers check. Electronic would be easier

If you have to ask this question, maybe you shouldn't be driving. "Should I stop at the stop sign, or just slow down?"

Personal check.
this, Price Leblanc didn't blink an eye (or his account person) back in November when I bought my Tundra by check after the trade was figured - just like making groceries at Albertson's.

Maybe the dealer reads tigerdroppings.com and he will be able to reply. But it might be easier to get the answer by asking them how they would like for you to pay for it.

You get your bank to cut a printed check for you. If you don't know the answer to questions like this maybe you shouldn't be buying a car right now

Didn't read thread, make sure you tell dealer that you want the CASH PRICE or you'll walk.

yes you can. I've had someone shove $8k in my hand in crumpled up hundreds.

Every car I paid cash for I wrote a check.

Dealerships lose money when you pay cash. I'm not sure why so many people think they are entitled to some massive discount because they are payin cash.

my mom bought my jetski that way. We had already agreed to purchase it from the delear but they had to do something to it (IDK what, it was over 10 years ago). We go into the salesman office, she pulls the $$$ out of her purse, counts it and hands it to the salesman. He finishes the paperwork and thanks her and I got a jetski. There was nothing illegal about it and the salesman was more than happy to deal in cash.
