Just tell the foreman/boss man to let his guys know. If his crew is fresh from Mexico they probably don't know that that's not a thing in the US. I've worked with Mexicans who didn't know and someone had to pull them to the side and tell them.

I have never heard of this until a few months ago. We hired a new "office manager" and shitty TP started showing up in the trashcan. Confronted her about it and it stopped for a week. Big shitty roll of TP in the trash can yesterday. Time to find another one.

I've heard of people with mobile homes doing that so they don't clog up the pipes. Maybe that person lives in mobile home and is just used to having to do that
