Seriously man, you called me a piece of shite & a dumb bitch? And all because I asked a question? This is not going cheap on Mexican labor, their bid was fairly close to others, and were recommended. Again, you don't know me from Adam & called me a POS. You sound like a really classy type of guy, considering you're ok w/shite in your trash can.

Well you are the one with the shite problem so if the charmin fits....

If they're throwing dirty TP in waste paper basket I doubt they're smart enough to find proper counseling.

If I knew who they were and he tried to frick them I would find and pay for their legal counsel. I hate frick heads that try to find a reason to just frick people who are just trying to make a living. I hope the guy shoved his toothbrush up his arse and put it back in the rack.

My 8 year old son did this at my house a few months ago. I freaked out on him and asked why he did that. He said they taught him that at school. So I called and found out that he had seen other kids at school doing that. Disgusting...

So your 8 year old is peeking through the stalls looking at other boys wiping their arse?

Yeah that kids gonna do well in life.

To be honest in many countries they throw the TP away, the plumbing can't handle the TP.

There are signs "Only what you eat or drink can go in toilet"

I just fired a mexican contractor on a bathroom remodel.

He poured mortar down my shower drain. Good luck.

Well your co-workers are dumb as frick so don't take advice from them. Just act like a grown arse man and have a talk with the boss to let his crew know it's ok to flush.

Also I'm guessing you never had kids and had to deal with shitty diapers and wipes. Where do you think people put those?

go to an Indian or a Muslim restaurant.
Note the bucket of water next to the toilet. Want to know what that is for?

This is gold. Maybe I found it funnier than it is, but I IRL lol'd.

I re-read OP.

OP did you really reach into the can and save the old tp?

also it's 2017, who has open top cans in their house?

That is what is unsanitary. Get an automated or a foot-operated lid can.

I would rather woman use a garbage can than a toilet and most will use the toilet if they think others will see their pad/pon.

Covered cans man, get with the times.

you want to read over my termination of contract notice I sent to my contractor? I paid that bastard 60% of total and then found out he ruined the plumbing, and didn't install waterproofing.

I wish I didn't pay him a cent.

I made a six page termination letter in english and spanish. Boo-yah.

No I just pulled the bag liner out of the can, that does have a step lid thing. I didn't want a "my word v his" so I pulled the bag. And to those referencing diapers, your own child's crap is vastly different than stranger crap

I would talk to foreman. Also, I would be tactful. Construction workers can frick up your house without you knowing it. Just saying.

throw it away.

As the last five pages explained it was a cultural difference issue, not a sleiht.

My contractor... poured mortar down my drain after I listed these issues and paid him 60% when he only did 40% of work. I wish my issues were just shite in a trash can.

Reasons for cancellation of contract.

Shower Wall Backer Install

Due to mistakes in interaction with plumbing, we believe the installation of the shower would not work as installed. The application of “RedGuard” was only painted over the backer board. There was no filling of the seams before taping and only a light coat of redgard. As such the shower would leak if a crack in the grout or mortar later appeared. This would cause premature failure of the shower and is enough to issue a stop work order. We need to have the tape removed, all the seals filled with silicone and then taped and then redguard. In addition there is an unacceptable gap in the shower and a deep hole in a corner. Backer board will need to be removed and re-cut and installed. We feel that the shower would have been finished improperly if the current installer continued.

2. Installing tub surround around base, before setting surround at top

The tile was installed around tub, before it was installed at the lip on top. This blocks access to plumbing and does not allow a proper fit of bath fixtures. The only remedy is to tear out installed base tile, and cut an access hole. Then install the surround tile at the top, then set the plumbing fixtures, then set the surrounding base tile. We assumed the contractor had installed tub surrounds before and knew the plumbing needed access until the tile was set. In addition a tile on the focal point at the top corner is only 1” wide and needs to be replaced. Contractor should have split the difference rather than have a 1” tile at the corner on a focal point. When pointed out, contractor stated it would cost more money to repair. Work on tub surround is not complete.

3. Improper spacing of tile near toilet.

Contractor did not know that toilet flange must be installed in order to mount toilet. Tile as installed will need to be removed and re-cut. Toilet can not be installed as tile is currently.

4. Failure to maintain a proper work environment

Contractor fails to clean up after messes made. Debris is thrown out the window and left. Including food, sheetrock, tile, etc. Mud is left all over. Sanding was done without proper cover and dust is everywhere. Spraying was done without proper cover and spray is on electronics and personal items. Debris tracked through house is left for others to clean. Debris is left for others to clean. Sharp metal objects placed on and in a new $1500 uncovered tub (again not using plastic) Mortar is mixed on the carpet in a bedroom, plans are to replace said carpet, but still the spilling of concrete all over it when plastic is available is inexcusable. The work environment is very messy and is never cleaned up. This wasn’t a deciding factor in this decision but it is troublesome and we would like to point this out to contractor, that contractors should always clean up at the end of the day, especially when working in an occupied unit. Another issue was walking down the finished wood stairs in stils while someone was painting trim. These things are not good.

5. Timeline issues

When Job was initially bid, it was stated that it would take 4-5 days. Yet contractor has had issues with backer board and tile cuts which have put him behind schedule. As schedule was not in contract this too is not a stipulation of the work stoppage but is an issue that is worth noting. A further issue is odd work times. While we appreciate the enthusiasm to work late, working a tile saw outside at 11:30 at night on a weeknight is unacceptable and places us in the ire of neighbors and can get us cited for noise violations. We would prefer the work down during decent hours. We believe contractor underestimated the magnitude of the work and was not prepared for the job. We estimate at current pace 4-5 more days of work.

6. Failure to repair downstairs ceiling

Contractor worked as a subcontractor for another contractor we hired initially for drywall work. That contractor was to patch three holes and remove old pop-corn. Daniel was the worker who later put the joint compound on and sprayed texture. In five attempts to install texture it never stuck. Contractor then said it cannot be fixed and sheetrock must now be ripped out and then new sheetrock installed. Then contractor offered to mud and texture for $500. Granted we had already paid contractor’s employer to mud and texture. That contractor, never finished job and only collected 66.67% of total payment. In contractor’s credit he did work long hours in attempt to repair ceiling. Yet it is possible that other methods including heat could have been used to dry joint compound. Also as contractor installed compound and textured the next day it is possible that contractor did not allow a proper dry time. We do not blame contractor for this error as it was his employer that is responsible for that job. We chose not to hire contractor to complete joint compound, sheetrock floating and texture job for $500 as Bathroom job is behind schedule. The bedroom is still without ceiling and the resident of that room has been displaced 10 days because of a failed patch job.
