So a worker in our house took a dump, wiped, & put TP in wastebasket.

It's right there, plain as day, on top in the trash in guest bathroom. They are there to remodel the master bath, which is taking forever & not happy w/the work anyway. What are my options? Should I tell them they are done working & im not paying for the work already done? Threaten to take to local news/Facebook? The bad press might cost them more than the 3-5K they would lose. I'm pretty sure the Health Dept would be interested to know. I've got the evidence put away, along w/a cigarette butt & a Pepsi can for later DNA testing:). Really though, what should I do?

Had to have been Mexican. When I stop and take a dump at a little Mexican taco shop they have signs in the bathroom saying not to throw the TP in the toilet and to put it in the trash can

Go ahead and see what happens. It's your house, not a restaurant kitchen.

you saved the TP? WTF man

Why don't you just confront them and say "who is the nasty mfer that left shite stained TP in my trash"?

But in which direction did he wipe? This is important for the fire/don't fire judgement.

I've seen enough Forensic Files to know you might not wanna upset Mexican laborers once they've been in your house.

Dude, you still have to pay for work completed. Just be a man and go have a polite conversation with them

I wouldn't fire somebody over this or tell them that is why you are firing them. If they are doing an unsatisfactory and you have a contract that says they must do a satisfactory job, I'd let them know asap so they can either make some adjustments or cut ties.

The US is a rare place compared to rest of the world because of the sewerage processing/removal we have here. Not flushing paper is common in Central and South America except in high end hotels.

Not if they do shite work and not to the specifications that you asked for.

I had some work done last year that was so shitty (there is a thread on it) and I paid the guy on my credit card. I disputed some of the cost because I had to get someone to redo the shite work that he did. I won the dispute.

Refusing to pay for work done = lawsuit

Now that would be a shitty situation

you can't skip out on $3-5,000 because a Mexican dude took a dump and threw the TP in the trash

You're way overreacting. Yeah, it's gross. But the local news won't GAF. Just have a convo with the boss & tell them not to do it again.

Yes they are Mexican. I am going to talk to Boss but was asking here how to handle it, knowing there are contractor types that post here.
