I'd be willing to bet that they'd lose more business than they gained.

Not to mention there's likely a whole new layer of federal and state bureaucracy/regulation they would have to take on.

And it appears that the store has spoken to her and apologized. I've been treated like shite at stores before and complained on social media. When the store fixed it, I took the post down.

My only complaint with her is her response to the Business Report. Should have been "its over and they apologized, I'd like to move on."

But she did fan the racism flames with the "get beat by the police" BS line. Otherwise, I'd totally be on her side.

It's a classic tactic of that group.

Cause businesses to spend extra money to right whatever grievance out of fear that they'll lose these people's business, then not patron those businesses after they fixed their expensive problem.

The Willie's incident is a classic example.

Thankfully, they didn't knuckle under.

Do you think she was told that the police would come and beat her if she didn't empty the goods?

Come on.

I'm not saying calandros wasn't wrong but this seems very exaggerated. And in most cases, these racial situations end up being false just like the other ones I mentioned. And those were just in BR

I have no idea. But since I know Lani and don't know the other person, I'll side with Lani.

It's between someone I know and some random security guard.

The irony there is that there was already a well established company policy that ended that ordeal without argument. That company policy was enacted because of POS's like that person.

Trust me, the owners were probably more than happy to have that 'negative' publicity.

its 2017, why would a place not?

It should be part of a business license. You operate a store over x square feet, you take EBT

Perhaps she made it up, but the rest of her story checks out, and there are much better ways to fan the racism claims if it was her goal.

Given the overall situation, it just seems like an odd lie to throw in there to embellish the story.

Because their primary customer base that shops there pays a decent premium to not be around the EBT crowd

Can we find an elite group that will find all the places that refuse to accept AmEx and bash them as well?

I'm going to try and say this tactfully but some of Calandro's employees are on the lower end of the IQ bell curve. So I'm really not calling into question the incident since the store admitted to being at fault. Just taking everything into consideration I'd accept their apology and move on.

That wouldn't stop the race baiters from inserting themselves into the topic, however.
