Where do some of you come up with this stuff? Barring a massive collapse of just about everything in America we are untouchable. Russia maybe, China? If anything China would sit back and haul in tens of billions by supplying both sides.
Even if it did happen they would have to absolutely decimate America's navy way ahead of time, our navy is too big so that's off the table. Then they'd have to completely destroy our air capabilities, that's never going to happen. So if an invasion was coming America would see it from a mile away, we'd be prepared. Even if they do get a beachhead how could it be resupplied? A huge armed populace and police force unlike anything the world has ever seen.
America is literally untouchable in terms of being invaded for a very, very long time. It will never happen in our lifetimes, or our grandchildren's lifetimes.

This but If they Invaded us they would get fricked quick. It would mean something to America now like WW2 did for America back in the 30s-40s in that the whole nation would be at war and would commit to the war effort. Manufacturing, actually fighting, etc. They MIGHT would be landfall in Cali but after that they would get stomped. The only way America falls is if we are brought down from within.

There is actually no historical reference to Yamamoto ever having said that. It is attributed to him, but it most likely came from one of McArthur's staff.
