re: Question on Petrino for Arky fans - troyt37
I don't know how true any of this is, but it's my take. Petrino wasn't completely inept at recruiting. I was keeping up with recruiting pretty closely, and inputting all the info on woopig.net during the Petrino years. Petrino consistently offered highly rated kids all over the country, on both side...

re: Share your ghost story - troyt37
My one and only ghost story. This would have been in 1985, just before my friend and I started driving. We were bored one weekend so we decided to spend the night in his uncle's house about a mile from mine. Story was it was haunted. His uncle was paralyzed from the waist down, in Vietnam. He...

re: Freshman Devwah Whaley likely a key for Arkansas rushing attack - troyt37
Let's get to the important stuff. How the hell is his name pronounced correctly? We damn sure don't want to pick up the Randy Rainwater pronunciation and run with it. Dev-WAH, DEV-wah, or DEV-wuh? WAL-ey, WHALE-ey, or WALE-ey? ...

re: tflagship institution of the State of Arkansas has said 'no' to firearms on i - troyt37
This isn't an apples to apples comparison at all. Are you really trying to compare having a drink or smoking some weed to obtaining an illegal gun?
I'm saying that like prohibition, making guns illegal or impossible to get will only work on the people who weren't the problem in ...
1.Why would anyone open carry? You lose all tactical advantage.
Agree. I guess there would be times when you would want it known that there is armed security present, but really it just makes you a target if something is going down.
2. We have become a society of pussie...

Not sure what world you live in, but think what you wish, I guess. Sure are a lot of folks in cemeteries with their killers walking around free, because they endangered their lives. ...
You under NO circumstances have an absolute legal right to defend your life. None, Zero, Zip, Zilch, Nada. There is not and has never been a single nation in the world where you have that right.
LOL. Okay. Hundreds of years of court cases, and cases that never even made it to c...

I don't particularly relish the thought of a bunch of immature, irresponsible, likely drunk or stoned kids waving guns around. But that isn't necessarily what we are talking about. The anti gun hyperbole crowd project irrational fear among many other imaginary psychological maladies upon those who w...
Too bad other countries don't have stricter gun laws that we could look at to compare their gun violence statistics to the gun violence in the U.S.
You mean one of those countries we keep hearing about, that are having their women raped at an alarming rate, with their governments...

2 dead at UCLA. Wonder if that is a gun free zone? Can't imagine what went wrong there. Pyg, I understand. Ignorant hyperbole is about all your side of the argument has. As Americans, we have God given rights codified by the Constitution. Among them is the right to defend ourselves. It is no less...

re: You honest/objective W/L record prediction for your team - troyt37
Arkansas has a lot of holes to fill, but quite a bit of talent coming back. We could go 5-7 if things go bad, and probably top out at 10-2. Any better, and we would have needed to have invested in bag men, deer antler spray, helicopters, cocaine, and hostesses a couple of years ago....
