Women typically compete at a 14-15 year old male level

Funny you should say that. This past Thursday night I watched a former WSL player playing adult rec league indoor and she was the best player there. Most of the guys at played high school or travel ball but still got outplayed.

WSL, for those who don't know, is the women's second division pro league.

Much is sometimes made of the fact that that elite boys squads do beat the hell out of the USWNT but elite boys teams are not average 14-15 year olds.

Cyborg is about 170 when not cutting weight. She'd give a bunch of men problems.

Doubtful.

A couple of times some street thug has picked on a pro (not even champion) level MMA female and the thugs get their asses kicked every time.

Problem is that even the 115 pound types know how to get you on the ground and tie you in a knot, and can take a couple of punches from the average guy without a problem while they're doing it.

Been working out 3 times a week for the past year and a half so yeah I think I could take them.
How are those workouts going to help you?

You're merely average for the OT

Oddly enough that is my actual H/W. I'm 42 but work out at least a decent amount. I'm sporting about a 50% dad bod

No, nobody on this board to beat any of those three women. We've had this discussion many times.

Have you ever stood next to someone that weighs 115-125lbs? They are little children. Even the speed and skill doesn't compensate for 75-100lbs or more of size / strength / weight. Their punches are like slaps from a child. When they kick and you put up your arm to block -
your arm is bigger and weightier than their leg. Someone that small, even if they get your back, can't do damage - they aren't big enough to wrap your neck and choke you.

Some of you are just clueless. Completely clueless.

She would but most men that are at least in shape will wear her down to be honest. I've seen her training videos. She doesn't move a lot of weight. She has great skills but would be over powered by most men by a considerable amount. Just becomes a fatigue issue. That said, she would destroy a lot of men before fatigue became an issue. Now, put her in the ring against male MMA and even the smallest male weight class would likely destroy her. Most of those guys are equal in strength, but faster than she is, and still big enough to apply their grappling.

Definitely. And I don't think it'd be close.

Does "male" vs "female" really mean that much when her testosterone levels are probably triple mine?

Of course, not even close. If they weren’t half my size, they may have a chance.

Also what is decent shape? Can run a mile in 7 minutes? That probably translates to less than half a round of fighting and against Joanna and the pace she can fight its less than a minute

Sure. But she's also a 115 lb woman. If a 5'10" 185 lb guy who knows how to punch even a little connects just once she's going to be rocked in a manner like she never has been from her peers. It would get even worse with a bigger man. Now cyborg is a different story all together, but Joanna is going to get absolutely wrecked by a lot of posters on here.

What's your discipline and lineage?

I just started learning judo and jiu jitsu. My sensei in bossier city is a 7th dan red and white belt in judo

A guy named Andre Galvao. I just began training with him 6 months ago and he seems pretty solid.

My striking coach is Mike Winklejohn and he has helped me immensely. Dude is legit and wish I went with him 2 years ago when first offered.

For the average 115 lb. woman you'd be right. For a woman who has been training for several years you would be tapping out quickly.

Most of the top level female MMA fighters train with top male fighters. They can handle a bumrush very ... professionally.
