So what's the proper window educate? I always get a window seat so I can close it and lay up against it while I'm sleeping. I hate when it's open and the sun is blaring in.

I agree with the OP.

Reclining your seat doesn't really give you more room, it might make the chair slightly more comfortable while it definitely takes leg room from the person behind you.

Sit up like an adult for an hour or two. Or get bumped around.

Inconsiderate bitches in this world.

I fly a ton. I've never reclined my seat. I'm not a pussy, so I can fly without being coddled.

I just want that bottle of water waiting for me at my seat.

Also get a Mophie power pack plus - it will charge my iPad about 8 times and is only the size of a external hard drive. That thing lives in my briefcase

I'm 6'4. If you recline, then expect my knees in your back (regardless of whether I want them there or not, there is not enough room for them to not be in your back). I nearly never recline and if I do I only go back a very small amount. Airplane seats are not big enough for reclining IMO.

The reality is most people that fly do not recline so this is rarely an issue. I used to fly a ton for work.

who actually PAYS for that?

I'm sitting at my gate right now. I always look to see if first class is still available. Every once and a while it's not a whole lot to upgrade and I'll do it. 60 bucks to get through check in, security, and boarding easier, plus a much more relaxing flight is worth it. But todays flight was like 150 extra and thats just not worth it. But I always check just in case.

Get an Exit Row seat. You get more leg room and should you survive an emergency landing you don't have to count on some idiot to open the exit door or wait on a bunch of fools trying to get their carry on before they exit the burning plane.

But mainly just get it for the leg room because you're not going to survive the crash.

I'm 6'7" and always get the exit row. If you don't pay the extra for a seat with more legroom, you have no room to complain. I've flown on Spirit numerous times and have had the entire exit row (both sides) to myself all but once

One time I blindy booked a flight on Priceline for my mom and I and when we got on the plane, they offered us one first class seat and one exit row seat. I let my mom take the 1st class seat and I took the exit row

This article is spot on and there's nothing about not reclining.

Article talks about not bringing a carry on you know is too large. shite makes my blood boil. Also, it goes in WHEELS OR HANDLE FIRST DUMMIES. Not sideways so that yours is the only bag that will fit for the row.

Except for this:

quote:

Forget that someone is in front of you and behind you, trying to be comfortable

Look before you ratchet your seatback to its full recline, don’t slam the tray table, and don’t let your 7-year old kick the seat in front of him when he gets bored.

That rule actually applies to the fat seat-recliner and the OP acting like a 7 y.o. & kicking the seat in front of him.

Like them getting ahead of two rows only to get stuck behind someone that gives zero fricks about their connection does anything anyway
