Nope. Sapphire is generally more scratch resistant but others like Hardlex are considerably more impact resistant given the same dimensions.

I have pretty small wrists and my ~38mm watch looks a good bit smaller than that on my wrist. That's probably at least 40mm or 42mm I would guess.
