Damn. I thought Joma was a respected vendor. Any other watch website recommendations?

i'm not saying they aren't respected, they are by quite a few people
i would just get clarification on the crystal material because i'm skeptical you're getting sapphire from a $100 watch

Those are all solid. Lemme throw this one atcha too:

Seiko SNK809

Unlike your others it's an automatic. And 65 bucks. That'll get you on the path of collecting automatic Seikos. In 10 years you can be the ultimate watch snob with a Grand Seiko.

Check out Crown & Buckle's leather NATOs. I've got some sort of green/brown on my watch right now and it looks cool.

I'm actually rocking a Seiko 5 right now with almost the same color NATO strap

It's a great watch for the money. It runs a few minutes fast a day but that's not a huge biggie for me

Damn, that's sharp, and automatic movements are better IMO.

Will punt to girlfriend immediately.

Both of the Citizens on the first page are 37 mm.

I don't want anything too bulky.

Other sites?

Watchuseek.com

Also timezone.com.

They talk watches from $100 to 6-figure watches.

They also sell a lot of second hand watches. These may take SOME watches that are out of your range and put them in your range. Like Tissot or Hamilton. Tissot has some in your range but some that are out of range but nicer can be in your range second hand.

The Seiko 5's are great watches for the money

It's going to be way better than a "few minutes" per day. Within 15-20 seconds would be the worse you'll see with a Seiko auto

I just backed this kickstarter.... Cool watches.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/helgray/helgray-hornet-all-around-badass-watch-with-dual-t

Sapphire Crystal. Super hard and highly scratch-resistant. 9/10 on the Mohs scale of hardness. Just for reference, diamonds are 10.

The crystal is also double-domed. This means the inside of the crystal follows the same curve as outside. The results is incredible clarity - even from wild angles - controlled reflections, and no distortion.

Water Resistance. 10 ATM. Not afraid of water. Good enough for swimming and light diving.

2. Accuracy. A pilot watch should be accurate. No need to explain why.

Japanese Quartz. Nothing beats the accuracy of a good Japanese Quartz movement such as the Miyota 1L45 we're using.

Case Diameter: 42 mm
Case Material: 316L stainless steel
Case Thickness: 13 mm (including crystal)
Lug Width: 22 mm
Lug-to-Lug: 47 mm
Crystal: Sapphire, double-domed
Bezel: Inner, rotating, bi-directional
Luminescence: Superluminova BGW9, application on hands, dial, and bezel
Movement: Miyota 1L45 with Small Second
Strap: 22 mm, leather
Buckle: 22 mm, signed
Water Resistance: 10 ATM (100 m)
