"Racists still hold on to the dream of the confederacy, but the confederacy lost over two hundred years ago to the Union's superior tactical skill and training. It's kinda pathetic honestly"
That is a real crock. The dream of the confederacy was a dream of individual state's rights. Oppression by a strong federal government was something our founding fathers were concerned about.
The war of northern aggression (or Civil War as you may call it) did not occur over two hundred years ago.
The Union eventually won because of superior numbers and industry. Superior tactical strength and training had nothing to do with it.
My great-great grandfather fought under Ewell at Gettysburg. My grandfather fought in WWI. My father served in the Korean conflict. My brother served in Vietnam. Each served nobly for a cause the considered just. Each fought for their country.
What is pathetic are those who are too shallow to understand that all who served in the great conflict of what is known as the "civil war: fought for a just cause.
A visit to Gettysburg may enlighten those. A three day battle that caused over 50,000 casualties (dead, wounded, or missing/captured), and where all who served are honored and respected for the service they gallantly provided to their respective nation and its' just cause.

My thoughts on flag...
1. Not racist
2. Not aware Colorado joined the confederacy
3. 4 girls 3 guys where is the porker in pink's date
4. Girl in urgne has some big________ not going to say don't know how old she is.

Go for it if you like.
But be aware, that you look like trailer trash.

Very well said, except you left out the part about owning people.

I can agree with this, but I'm fairly certain about 99% of the people waving that flag around know dick about the civil war, except it was against dem yankees. Whatever the flag stood for then, it no longer has that meaning today. "Heritage" is a fallback for anyone called out on it.

Confederate flag aside, I don't see how holding real rifles would make the image "disturbing".

You do realize that a very very VERY small % of residents in the southern states owned slaves, right? These days the liberal pc shitheads make it sound like every redneck in the south owned 50 slaves and were the most evil people in the world.

ETA: I'm curious to know what would have happend had the French won at Puebla on Cinco de Mayo in 1862 and had linked up with the Confederates as Napoleon III had planned. Would that have drawn the British into the war on the side of the Union. Would royal alliances have started fighting each other in Europe?
The English and French were on pretty good terms in 1862 (having just fought the Crimean War together as allies). If anything, England was far closer to entering the war on the side of the Confederacy than the North, especially after the Trent affair in November of 1861.

Agreed, but over two hundred years ago?

I can't wait for the libtards to start wanting the Sons of Confederate Veterans wiped out because their special license plate has the battle flag on it.

It doesn't matter who did or didn't own slaves. Slavery was the backbone of the South's economy and social structure. You better believe white, free men wanted to keep slaves slaves. Not even necessarily out of racism but simply to keep their way of life and economy alive. Like I said, it's not even necessarily a racist thing, but yes, most of the South wanted to preserve slavery.

I bet confederates were mad when they shut down the Transatlantic States' Rights Trade too right?

Well, my ancestors owned no one. And neither did the vast majority of those fighting for the south.
