I'm in the same boat, but I can judge the hell out of them for it. I like guns, and I'm proud to have grown up in the south. But I'm not going to take pictures with my guns as if they define what I think is cool. It's quite trashy and worth the judgment. Now automatically calling them racist and freaking out that it is "real" guns is a little ridiculous.
I personally think the racial connotations associated with the Confederate Flag is overblown. Sooner or later wearing camouflage is going to be considered racist, because ton's of people in the south wear camouflage and obviously all southerners want to lynch black people (so say northeners)

The confederacy is dead. A large part of what it stood for is dead. There is no reason to have the stars and bars on that flag. You can have your "heritage" but it does nothing for the state going forward.

what's crazy to me is a bunch of anti semites can protest with jew hatred in NYC without so much as a peep on social media, rappers talk about bitches and hoes and use the word "n****r" frequently, but a couple of dumb kids take a hilariously trashy photo and the world is outraged...their behavior must be punished

FWIW, I drive up and down I-16 and see this big confederate flag flying. It ticks me off, but the hatred on the other side (white, black, whatever) is just as real as much as they pretend they are "enlightened."

You can't have it both ways...either people have a right to express or they don't...whether I agree or disagree with the speech/content is another matter.
