Spend more, inconvenience and potentially deprivive your family economically based on vanity and what other dudes might think.(strangers along the interstate and at gas stations at that)

Which choice is gay and which is actually manly?

One would argue that having three children in today's economic climate is depriving your family economically.

Another vote for the Honda Odyssey.
We got one 2 years ago and it's been awesome.
We have 4 kids and they all love the space it provides.
So much more cost effective than an SUV.

A man driving a minivan is the ultimate sign that you've given up and have settled into a sad, depressing suburbanite hell. My condolences.

Mini-van is a smart play with all kinds of necessary features.
Bunch of ignorant, try-hard baws in here bashing the mini-van. Thought MEN understood using the right tool for the job at hand. I guess not.

We had an Odyssey like the one you describe when my kids were small. Might have been the best vehicle I ever owned.

All the gay responses. How many homos do you see cruising around in a van? I thought they went for a Prius.

One of the coolest guys I know is a widower who drives a minivan around town (has three children).

He also races Porsche cars as a hobby.

Buy the car that is useful to you.

2007 Toyota Sienna with 64,186 miles purchased new. We have never had anything done other than they replace the vinyl dash area as a no charge recall. I love it since has the largest cu. ft. of cargo room. I drive it my wife drives the Lexus l460L. I will be buying a new Sienna this year. They are more reliable than the Hondas. CR ranks them the best.

I've tossed out the idea to my wife a few times. She is not a fan on minivans. I'm not really either, but you can't deny the utility and convenience with 3 small kids. we just both hate the look.

Neither I nor my wife are fans, mainly because of our "traumatic" experience with our parents each owning clunker minivans from the late 80's for most of our childhood. She even learned to drive in it.

I dont doubt the utility and convenience of them too (which is most likely why service or work employees use vans and not suburbans or tahoes for their jobs). But we each vowed to never own or drive a mini van.

That being said, we just picked up a Toyota Sequoia and love it. Though I do cringe at the thought of a five year old throwing the huge door open and dinging other cars in a parking lot.

We got one when the kids were small. While I hated the IDEA of it, it was just the best thing to drive. Easier to load everyone up, drives like a car, not a truck, and you are at a very low risk of car jacking

All minivans are awesome. For the best value I would suggest a low mileage 2016 Chrysler town and country.

I have six children, none of them are deprived of anything because oh that's right my wife and I have chosen to not have kids we can't afford. (2 of these are adopted and we're going to adopt another one in the next 12 months, already looking through kids to find one who will fit our family)
