gf gets flowers at work and a nice dinner. probs gonna stay that way forever.

i guess the flowers are pretty expensive, $65 delivered. maybe i need to deliver myself next yr & save $50. this yr we're cooking dinner ourselves, although all the ingredients probably cost $50. but lets be honest, whens the last time you went out for a "nice" dinner and didn't spend $50? pretty tough these days. most casual nights out we try to stay below that but if you drink more than 2 beers the tab starts climbing pretty quick.

so this is when you walk around the house semi nude when he knows there is no chance for sex.

Payback is a bitch.

I stopped that after the first year of marriage. She basically told me she thought it was stupid to pay for roses to be delivered. I think the roses for delivery these days are over $80.

If I get her flowers, I pick them up from the florist.

My husband just told me he was gonna buy me flowers on his way home from work but didn't want to deal with everyone else trying to buy flowers right now.

So I got an IOU for flowers

I've never gotten my wife a gift for v day.

I've taken her to dinner, gotten her cards, and maybe some champagne but never a gift.

She's knows I think the whole thing is bull shite

It really is a pain in the arse. I went to Whole Foods at 4 and I was one of about 15 guys waiting at the florist counter.

it's likely something soccer related about the match in Glendale in April

Mine was never a fan of valentines day. One of the million reasons why I married her. Every year she gets a little bag of sour patch kids, and I get a little box of hot tamales. Been that way for 10 years.

It's an excuse to take her out to eat, buy her something and hopefully the end result is sex.
