Peeping Tom's using drones are apparently OK until they get caught with the image on their computer.

The same doesn't apply for the peeping Tom in my bushes though.

They'll have to figure this out or a lot of drones are going to die.

We usually fly the drone at between 600 &800 feet which make it virtually impossible to see people on the ground. Especially with trees.

Like hell you can't. If someone leaves their television on your front porch after you tell them they can't have it there, then you can destroy it

The position that you can blast a drone out of the sky with a shotgun is, in fact, every bit as hick as the previously posted example of lighting your neighbor's car on fire because his wheels are on your grass. There are remedies for people trespassing and/or allowing their items to enter your own property. None of those involve instant destruction.

Meh. If something is on my property that I don't want there, then I should have the right to do with it as I please.

Did this guy tell the owner he couldn't fly over his house? I don't think he did, but maybe I missed it.

You can leave a nice flatscreen on my porch and I promise you no harm will come to it. I'll give it a nice home.

Oh, he contacted the owner of the drone and told him to remove it from his property? I guess I missed that part of the story.

What will the skies look like in 10 years with all of these new drones? Aren't some companies toying around with making deliveries with these things? I think eventually it will be common to see drones flying all over the place.

Agreed. Neighbors dog was pissing on my prized azaleas and eyeing my registered bitch. I shot that mutt and flung its lifeless, flea ridden carcass back on my neighbors porch.

So if a real helicopter or airplane flew low over his properly he could shoot it down?

Was the person spying? We already have laws for that.

Best bet would be to call the law and go from there.

When I first got my drone and was learning to operate it, it went over my neighbors house, over the street, over an intersection etc.

I'll assume it wasn't his neighbor and the person operating the drone was not on friendly terms with him.

The laws are specific on how high your rights are above the ground over your property. You also have right of way laws to utility services on your property.

As of now with the new relaxing of the FAA laws on commercial drone use a drone must be opperated by an opperator (not a pilot) within site distance without looking up the exact specifics as i understand it.

Local communities are enacting laws daily restricting drone use by citizens, some good and some are stupid.

Where it all ends up at this point is anybodies guess.

The idiot and the professor from the university who attached a hand gun to a drone and remotely fired it in the woods really shite on the industry and where positive things could develope.

A living creature who is doing you no harm is not the same as an annoying drone.

The example that you used to refute my statement was someone leaving a tv on your porch and you tell them to remove it. The operative part of that situation is you notifying the owner of the tv that you want them to remove their tv from your property.

If someone accidentally parks on your property can you just blow up their vehicle without warning?
