Personally I don’t know anything about this as I’ve never smoked weed.

Is it possible that the deceased had some sort of allergic reaction to THC?

Using history and statistics to rule out a possible cause of death is quite possibly the dumbest thing in this thread. And thats a big achievement

From the story
quote:

A toxicology report said she had 8.4 nanograms per milliliter of blood

Drug test don’t even register a positive below a cutoff, usually either 30 or 50 nanograms per ml. So if this woman took a drug test she’d have passed.

Edited to add that 50 is the cutoff and it’s 15ng to confirm a positive. She’s have passed the drug test. Coroner=dumbass. But we knew that

I’ll take the opinion of a medical doctor over that of a stoner

Even an MD that makes a statement like this?

quote:

Montegut suggested lawmakers might want to think twice about moving that bill forward, saying, “If you’ve got a 30-day supply of THC in there with an inhaler, you can just keep puffing away.”

Do you realize how many legal drugs can be misused also? Or have you been living under a rock for the last 20 years?

For the sake of argument, let's assume she did OD on marijuana. Do you actually believe one documented death among billions of incidents is justification for his statement? If so, you're a bigger moron than he is. There are hundreds, if not thousands of legal drugs that can cause death if misused. Why would he make this case against marijuana without getting on his soapbox over these other drugs? I think the answer is obvious.

Also, do you think this is the first time a cause of death was undetermined? Go drink your Crown and shut the frick up about something you obviously know next to nothing about.

Why is this so hard for ya”ll believe? You can OD on anything, if you can OD on water then I am sure it is possible to OD on weed, even though it isn’t common.

Yep

What you're calling medical training is vague and deflecting.

Now if you want to narrow that down to thise who operate in the field of forensic pathology and coroners who sign death certificates...ill debate you all day that you are fricking dead wrong, dipshit

Pretty sure I read something one time that one would have to smoke about 200 pounds of marijuana to overdose on THC.
More like 1500 lbs in an hour.

The cellular structure of all vertebrate species tested thus far show that there are literal receptor sites for cannabinoids. The research since the 1960's also proves that once these receptor sites are full, cannabinoids are then stored in fat cells. Once the fat cells are full any further induction of cannabinoids results in excretion through the usual methods: urine, feces, sweat, etc..

Think of it as a cell being a tray of shot glasses. Each glass represents a receptor. Once the glasses are full any added spills onto the tray, then off the tray and is wasted.

There are European in vitro studies where brain tissue has been literally immersed in THC and not only survived but thrived.
