(THC) is the primary active compound in marijuana, and it’s LD50 in rodent studies (a general starting point for toxicological research) is absurdly high, as is the human LD50, which is theoretically between 15 and 70 grams.
Lets say this woman was 150lbs or 68kgs
@ 15 grams/kg = 1020 grams or 2.25 lbs of pure THC
@ 70 grams/kg = 4760 grams or 10.5 lbs of pure THC
Oil is 0.8g/cm3 so,
1020 grams is 1275 cm3 or 1.35 quarts or pure THC
4760 grams is 5950 cm3 or 1.6 gallons of pure THC

The amber colored cannabis THC oils, the ones you can vaporize with, those run $40-$60 per gram.
5000 grams would cost $250,000 dollars!!

There's been hundreds of instances where a cause of death simply cannot be found. This was probably one of those cases and he didn't want to admit he didn't know what the reason was so he just threw weed out there because it has a stigma and sounds nice.
I'm betting if the only drug he found in her system was caffeine, he wouldn't be telling people her morning cup of coffee killed her.

A girl died from exactly this when I was in high school. Her brain swelled and she was dead within a couple of days.

Im a very heavy user, but 1000 grams of oil would last me quite a while

It would not be possible from any source the average person could easily obtain. Smoking, gummies, edibles, even smoking the highly refined dabs....you would have to have a strong concentration/extraction of THC and take a moderate serving of that....then it could happen. I'm not even certain any suppliers have something like that, because it wouldn't serve a purpose to have it.
You don't know shite either. You can buy high concentrated stuff legally in this country. The pens I usually get are around 94%.
