I leave work early everyday. Must suck to be a teacher.

Another pertinent question: Are they salaried or hourly? If salaried time at the desk is irrelevant (unless contractually required).
This is exactly correct. They aren't paid hourly. If there are no students in the building or other required work, then what's the problem if they leave when their work is finished on the last day? As others have said, they aren't paid extra for days they have to return for school functions or grade papers at night.
I can't speak for the school system, but I have experienced in other levels of state agencies that that Peter Principle is in full effect. Promotion is based on arse-kissing and not rocking the boat. People with critical thinking skills get blackballed.

Is this the introduction to the opposites sketches?

The school system can't have it both ways. If they count minutes on the last day when all of their work is complete, they can't expect them to stay after school and give extra time for school functions.
This.

They aught to investigate how many extra hours a teacher works and doesn't get paid for....So if they stay late 100 days a year and leave early 1 day they get in trouble?

This is bullshite. Our principal tells us that no one is checking on us. Just turn in your checkout sheet and do what you want.

The kids were gone at lunch on Tuesday and teachers are finished by like 8 o'clock on Wednesday. Staying for the whole day would just be a waste of time. Not a big deal.

This is someone at a school whose principal made them stay raising hell over people who left early with their principal's permission

Yeah, this is when stupid teachers ruin it for everyone else.

Some Lafayette restaurant needs to invite those teachers in for free apps and drinks.

Lol at the investigation...
Principals are notorious for taking crazy long lunch breaks and 'volunteering' to attend any and every luncheon or off campus function.
Other jobs have the same shite. The big problem, as is the norm, is the idiots put it on social media.

I don't question my boss' schedule.
And I would hope they would use my tax dollars they get paid with to the full extent of what is required of them to earn it.
Or are we supposed to allow them to be leaches?

Teachers are low level salaried employees. What matters is whether leaving early was cleared with the principal. If it was, then this shouldn't be an issue.

Did one of your teachers frick your mom? Girlfriend? Anyway keep melting bitch.

If there's no kids, all your grades are in, check list completed there's no reason to hang around.
