Were their 186 days off the rest of year not enough?

If there's no kids, all your grades are in, check list completed there's no reason to hang around.

I understand that technically it is a full work day for teachers, but if all their grades are completed and turned in, classroom is cleaned up, room keys turned in, and all other end of the year duties are completed, then what the hell is the point of staying until 2:45 or whatever time the school is dismissed?

Did the principal or superintendent say they could go?

Seriously. If the kids are gone, you have everything covered, who cares left early? Ate the supposed to sit there, staring at the wall for a few hours? All they'd do at that point is kill time on phones or computers online. I see that as a salary type position, not an hourly job.

Another pertinent question: Are they salaried or hourly? If salaried time at the desk is irrelevant (unless contractually required).

The school system can't have it both ways. If they count minutes on the last day when all of their work is complete, they can't expect them to stay after school and give extra time for school functions.

Teachers are less accountable for their teaching than weatherman for forecasts

yeah not even close, considering teachers pay depends on their teaching and their students score

Cops and politicians are less accountable by far, even less accountable than used car salesmen.

You never know who may be looking at your posts on Facebook and just how petty to evil they can feel towards you. Same principle applies to TD. It's why I don't post much IRL stuff to the internet and when I do, it's limited to a very very small circle of people I absolutely trust.

The OT despises teachers more than BLM, SJWs, and Islam combined.
