re: Phil Steele has Bama with the #1 schedue in the country.. - lsusa
And even more than the permanent opponent, it was the radical swing in rotational opponents that favored bama when the league expanded....

re: ATL Thread- International Signings + Manny vs Max - lsusa
Miller, Wood, Julio, Wisler, and Manny looks like it's going to be a pretty nice rotation next year. Particularly if Julio can get back on track and get out of his weird funk on the road.
They should be solid at 5 of the 8 positions too, and can either resign some of the guys in ...

re: If Barry Bonds would have retired in 1998.. HOF? - lsusa
Posted by Jamohn on 7/2/15 at 12:47 pm to goldenbadger08 It's an irrelevant point. The (misguided) idea behind keeping Bonds and Clemens out of the HOF has nothing to do with the idea that they wouldn't have been good enough without roids, it's to punish them for being cheaters and defiling...

Imagine having these five on the floor.... Patterson Hornsby blakeney Quarterman Simmons Opposing teams would be more worried about defending that than creating their own mismatches on offense...

Sorta spinoff - the DH in interleague play - lsusa
I understand the idea of it being attached to home field advantage in the World Series, but since the part of the reasoning of regular season interleague play is to let fans see teams from the other league, why not play with the AL rules in the NL parks and vise versa?...

re: how would you re-align mlb divisions? - lsusa
This is really the best answer. Make sure there at 16 teams in each league so you don't have a daily inter league matchup. I could see 4 4-team divisions with maybe 2 wild cards....but I also like the idea of two eight team divisions with each champ gets a "bye" and then four wild card teams pla...

re: Travel ball parents got pissed at their kids coach.... - lsusa
The contest they were playing that day was timed. Both coaches knew it before it started. The winning coach was playing by the rules. I agree that's not normally how it's played But in this case it was...so strategy was legit....

re: Travel ball parents got pissed at their kids coach.... - lsusa
I think the concept of travel ball stinks. But the obviously analogy to this situation to me is a football team taking a knee to run out the clock. The team isn't trying to score or gain yardage. How's that different from telling players to take till they get two strikes to let the clock run...

re: TCU reliever retired 13 batters on 36 pitches - lsusa
Nah, you gotta call out the players on that. Did Bregman really think he was gonna hit a five run homer with nobody on base the first pitch of the eight inning???? Next guy swings 2-0 and grounds out. ...
$876 a month for food? Do people really get that much?
The FB post is fake, but to answer your question the current maximum that a three person HH could get per month in Food Stamps in $511. That is federal limit for majority of the country for that size household. The ma...

re: Team batting average SEC Semi to now is .257 - lsusa
When LSU got behind they all went up hacking away at the first pitch trying to do too much. Once behind walks are useful to get runners on base and into scoring position, but LSU didn't have the patience to work the count. TCU's pitchers were pretty good at keeping the ball close to the strik...

re: ATL Thread-Simmons Out Edition - lsusa
Simmons should be untouchable. He is the best defensive SS in the game. Anything you get at the dish is gravy. Freeman is close to untouchable as well. If Peterson solidifies his hold on 2b, Peraza could move to CF. Or Peterson could go to 3b.... Though I think he doesn't quite have the p...

I'd think the SECs opposition has more to do with how they recruit. They may be holding spots for big time recruits and see guys who they have on the back burner sign with other schools. Similar things to that... ...
