Sorry, I have watched every episode and think he is funny. My issue isn't with him.

Just didn't think this episode lived up to the rest or really exposed something people didn't already know.

Osteen is the definition of a snake oil salesman that is allowed to stand on a pulpit sadly. I think it'll all come crashing down on him one day.

Then come, follow me.” 22When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. 23Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

This is why it makes no sense that Christians are Republicans. They should all be socialists because if you are rich you literally have zero chance of getting into heaven according to Jesus.....but of course they ignore that.

Huh? So God's grace isn't a real thing? Being saved doesnt matter? Its about how much good I do now? I was lied to my whole life then.

I get what you're saying but I've seen some interesting debates, using scripture, regarding salvation through faith and no works vs. salvation through faith + works.

God doesn't want people sick, broke and in poverty. At the same time, the 'send money to me (the televangelist) so you'll prosper' gospel isn't a Christian gospel.

Socialists give to the government, not the poor.

Very big difference between socialism and the teachings of Jesus. But of course, you'll ignore all of that.

Oh lord, y'all are really gonna debate grace vs good works? I can't believe people still even think about this. This is some genuine Luther shite.

Definitions probably vary, but many people think the concept of socialism can exist outside the confines of government. A commune for example.

Jesus said to give to the poor, not steal from the rich and then give to the poor. There is no need for coercion, for it almost always derives from a sin. If a person becomes rich and decides to not give to the needy, then he or she must answer to God for that decision. It doesn't honor God to steal from those that are blessed to give to the impoverished. We cannot give what isn't ours. The morality of free market capitalism and Christianity go hand in hand.

Pastor Creflo firmly believes in tithing. In fact, he is so insistent on his church getting 10% of every member's income, that if he had his way, he would shoot and kill the “crooks” who have not given to Creflo's church. Here are his thoughts on that matter, in his own words, from a sermon he gave to his congregation:

“I thought about when we first built “the Dome,” (his large megachurch) I wanted to put some of those little moving bars and give everybody a little card. They’d stick it in a little computer slot. If they were tithing, beautiful music would go off and, you know, ‘Welcome, welcome, welcome to the World Dome.

But ... if they were nontithers, the bar would lock up, the red and blue lights would start going, the siren would go off, and a voice would go out throughout the entire dome, “Crook, crook, crook, crook!”

Security would go and apprehend them, and once we got them all together, we’d line them up in the front and pass out Uzis by the ushers and point our Uzis right at all those non-tithing members ’cause we want God to come to church, and at the count of three Jesuses , WE WOULD SHOOT THEM ALL DEAD!

And then we’d take them out the side door there, have a big hole, bury them and then go ahead and have church and have the anointing “

I don't know how these people live with themselves. Conning honest people out of their hard earned money so that they can be "saved".

Capitalism- make as money as you possibly can and F anyone who doesn't like it.
Christianity- die to self and give everything to help the poor and needy.

If you are calling paying taxes "stealing from the blessed", 1. Do not respond to my post please and 2. You should be a republican campaign manager. "render to Cesar what is Cesars." Basically translates pay your taxes bro. And who is asking you to give what isn't yours? How would you? And please honor my request to not respond at all if it is fitting.

These pastors,in the eyes of God,are worse than terrorists.

The only unpardonable sin is those who know God and blaspheme Him for their own gain.

Pride is the most dangerous of sins.

As a Christian, these churches sicken me to the core. Preying on innocent people in the name of God. HOW dare they?

Tithing is not doctrine preached by Jesus. He said you should give of your heart, willingly, and that your reward would be found in Heaven...not on earth. You cannot buy a miracle.

Props to John Oliver for this.
