Yeah my ex didn't get the IV sedation cause insurance wouldn't cover it and he was told he didn't really need it.

He felt the entire thing(was told by surgeon he is just confusing pressure with pain). Got 2 dry sockets(even though he didn't smoke, drink out of straws, etc). Dr refused to refill his pain med even with the dry sockets. He was miserable. When it was my turn I was terrified after what he went through. Told my surgeon what happened to my ex ...he prescribed me a valium to take the night before and one the morning of the procedure. I had NO WORRIES that am

I had that, phinergan, and some pain killer, probably a vicodin to take at home before. Then when I got there they gave me a few other pills, local anesthetic, and a ton of constant happy gas.

I could hear it cracking, but didn't give one frick

I don't think I forgot anything, but my dad claims I asked my dentist where he buys his nitrous.

I don't care, zero complications either time.

If they grow back, he can take 'em out again.

I was a tour guide in Nashville, and had to go to the teaching hospital at the time which I referred to thereafter as Castle Grayskull. I was in the waiting room in my stupid tie sitting with a bunch of prisoners all chained together in orange jumpsuits.

There had been a recent string of anesthesea mishaps nationally so I decided to tough it out & get all four out on local. The thing I remember the most was the dentist (a grown-arse man) having to leverage his full weight to pry the teeth out and the sounds of bone cracking.

When I got back home, I drug a couch in the backyard & passed out on Vicadin in the blazing sun. I woke up to my neighbor offering a tallboy & joint.

Yuup.

Way easier than my circumcision. I didn't walk for a year after that.

Have someone film a "BugaPainTrain7 after the dentist" video when you wake up and then post it here. Have them put a mask on you before so we don't know your identity if you are worried about that.

Had mine ripped out in boot camp. They gave me a local anesthetic, and started tearing into it. I winced a few times and the doc stopped to ask if I felt any pain. I told him I did so he stabbed me in the mouth with a few more needles.

When it was done they gave me some Motrin and the rest of the day off. I woke up with my face stuck to my pillow and dried blood everywhere. The next day I was back to business.

It's the military way...

Went in, met nurse, IV in, counted to 100 (but only got to 3) and woke up at home with the teeth gone. As far as I can recall, never saw a dentist that day, no one touched my mouth (while awake). Weird, wild experience but better than the horror stories I've heard of being awake for the chopping and chipping etc.

Had mine taken out as an adult, just before getting braces. Like most wisdomtoothologist, the doc that did mine had forearms like Popeye the Sailorman. We were friends as well as doc/patient acquainted, and he straight up told me "look dude, you have as jacked up a set of wisdom choppers as anyone I've ever seen, and it's highly damn likely that I'ma break your jaw getting one of them out. That paper you signed, that said you weren't going to sue me? Remember that? It specifically covers broken jaws, dig?"

So, under I go, wake up, holes in my head where teeth used to be. No complications, no pain where he cut me, but my jaw HURT SO FREAKIN BAD. When I went for the follow up, I was bitching about how bad my jaw hurt. He starts digging around in this drawer in the exam room, pulls out a huge rubber hammer, and said "man, I was swinging this thing at your head as hard as I possibly could. No wonder your jaw hurts."

Outside of the jaw ache for me, not much to it. Just do what they tell you to do. Apparently, those dry socket deals do in fact hurt a bunch.

Had them done 2 years ago and my chin is still numb to this day. Other than that, it was a smashing success!

I think so.

My daughter was one of his last patients before he went out for his knees. IDK if he came back.

Truly a great doctor and always called you the night of the surgery to check on you.

He did my implants also. Perfect fit and no complications.
