Either B then C, or C then B. Either way, I'm amazed that you are even asking this question. I take it you have direct reports and are in a management position. What pissant kinda company do you work for where they didn't train you on this stuff already?

Or did you attend the training and you're just not too bright?

Either way, I think you've hit the zenith of your Peter Principle trajectory. No where to go from here pal.

If your boss gets wind that you had to come ask us bunch of e-jackoffs for the right call he's going to probably put you on a PIP, or just fire you.

Are you replying to me where I quoted the OP? Your response was to me but you quoted where I quoted the OP.

Are you under the mistaken impression that I gave a list of choices? The right thing is to follow policy that has absolutely been drilled into this dude on a macro and micro level for years.

If someone's gonna come to work blitzed, then they're putting themselves in the crosshairs. Has nothing to do with the direct report telling you or you ratting. It has to do with the personal decisions the blitzed coworker made to do what she did.

It's not you. It's the policy and if you don't follow it, the potential liability and resulting fallout puts you at risk for your job.

But like I said...are you confused with the response or make a mistake or something?

I was replying to the OP, just didn't take the time to jump all the way back to his OP.

Settle down Francis.

Sounds like you are a lowly worker since you aren't sure what to do or who to report to, but being she is indeed f'ed up at work, which is a huge risk to her, the other employees, and the liability of the company; I would report it to your boss, and give the heads up to her direct boss as well.

Being that he doesn't know what to do, it was probably the receptionist.

Is in potential legal scenario - reports to public forum.

And they say American ingenuity and intelligence is gone.
