Go ahead and add that post to your list of "questionable decisions over the past 48 hours."

ole man, the one thing I learned is that simple statements are quite profound.

YEP. I'm not as gifted or educated as some here, and am a hothead by nature . Some of the post here have pissed me off,
30 yrs of sobriety has taught me restraint or I may have been makin some amends. Haha

From my experience, there is no cure, only treatment, you might compare it to diabetics, as long as they get treatment for the rest of their lives, they can live normal happy lives. I got cancer, and basically said screw it, quit going to meetings and drank. As fate would have it, I beat Cancer, but not alcoholism, Lol, I am fine now though

Man, I'd hate for you to hang around my circle of folk. You'd have the Betty Ford on speed dial

i just think it's a good thing to keep in mind for someone trying to get sober.

Not so much, of course this is an opinion based on my experience.

Oh yeah. I don't think there is a "cure" either. But I've seen so many people make it a few months and think they are cured. Then they go back out. I was just wondering the mindset of someone with 9 years slipping. And getting cancer is a pretty freaking understandable reason. Glad you have recovered. Thanks for sharing.

I've actually been studying a book called "ACIM" It's not about Alcoholism, but it has probably made more impact on my life than anything else ever has.

Yeah, that happens, they get sober, feel better, and think, "I've got this" They really don't know what they are dealing with, or more accurately, what's dealing with them. Just part of the journey.

Lol, be careful, it will challenge every belief you ever had about everything you ever saw, heard, felt, or experienced.
