Well, yea. Passport in St. John helps too when flying back. Makes the pre-clearance much easier.

Look up the Sognare. All-inclusive and you can sail around the BVI.

The Sognare's hailing port is Baton Rouge, LA

It's docked at Red Hook Marina in St Thomas

Cheers. Everybody I've known says it's ridiculous, very low key place.

Going for an occasion or just letting your hair down?

He's right.

The Caribbean beaches are mostly rocky or if not they are often completely trashed.

Ever seen a layer of plastic trash and cig butts from one end of a public beach to the other? Don't go the Caribbean/Latin America and expect Gulf Shores/Orange Beach sand.

The Caribbean beaches are entirely overrated. Sand is usually nasty, filled with ants, and trash is very common.

Overall Florida and Gulf Shores really does have a better beach experience.

I may have been playing a bit loose and fast there, perhaps a more accurate statement would have been similar, once you focus on the beach and remove the aesthetics in the background. There are few plump euros with hairy bushes and saucer sized areoles on Florida beaches.

Vacation. I'm meeting a large group on St John and a buddy and I are celebrating our birthdays down there.

Well articulated, MagicCityBlazer.

I met a biker dude from Upstate New York in the Tokyo Airport on a trip home. He had just finished his monthly stint in the Phillipines, ostensibly committing various acts of nefarious perversion, and we got to talking about beaches. I think he was a meth dealer cut in the vein of Walter White so there is that, but he claimed to have traveled the world for over 40 years and the best beach he ever stepped on was in Destin.

I bought his Sushi for being so Patriotic.

I like it hot. My wife dresses sluttiest and my flaccid state is more impressive.

Green turtle key, abaco bahamas. Quiet small island. If you rent about and island hop, you will be the only one on the beaches

I haven't been in 9 years, so don't know how it has progressed, but every time we left the resort it was with more than 1 armed guard . Safe? hmmm Places with "great people" that I would consider safe don't usually provide you with armed security everywhere.

Because he gets married on a Saturday night and likely wants to be on the beach Sunday afternoon.

Now he's leaving Sunday night, sleeping on plane one night of his trip to arrive in SA early Monday. And instead of leaving Sunday afternoon on the return. He's going through customs at 7pm on Saturday night to land in ATL on Sunday morning.

Dumb. So the 3 beaches you went to were rocky? There are beautiful beaches all over the Caribbean. They aren't all mountainous and rocky.
