Probably just Arrogance and del"-"hi is pretty rural, they probably thought no one would ever notice.

No, no. Tommy was just a hard working blue collar baw who got greedy and fraued out his buddies, some banks and the federal government for personal gain . Black Bear, Poverty Point reservoir et al was a state senator using state funds and us tax payers to get him and his friends and family richer. Otherwise know as just a regular ole Tuesday in Louisiana.

It's a pretty great track for the price and no one is ever on it. That's more then some politicians do for the community

I agree. I don't mind seeing our tax dollars go to something like, that that we can actually use. Even if its creation padded a few pockets along the way.

So, these guys steal $30 million.

They'll get 1 year in a federal penetentiary, max.

And lose most or all of their assets.

Low class thugs steal 200 bucks from a convenience store and get 5 years in a shitty state prison.

Not if he grabbed 200 dollars when no one was looking, didn't have a criminal record and didn't threaten anyone. Of course that might also mean he wasn't classified as a thug.

It really is. I know some of these people and they all are going to continue to suffer, along with their families and friends. It's a life changer for a lot of people, and will continue to be a slow motion train wreck as it plays out.

Just a damn shame.

Probably, but being bankrupted and publicly humiliated is probably worse than doing time to guys like this.

You know everyone from lake providence to Ruston knows their entire story. People are sitting around diners bull shittting over a cup of coffee telling the story as if they knew the man for 40 years.

The dude and co should absolutely be locked up and lose all of his stolen shite but the real punishment is that they will shamed for ages. I can already picture my old office in Monroe, every swinging dick is going to talking toda

Probably figured out a way to stash it, much like if your house is broken into, you rarely get your stolen property back.
Plus, they should lose all of their assets. I have complete disdain for people who are considered upper class that do shite like this and they are treated with kid gloves. I couldn't care less if they feel humiliated and are embarrassed. They should be. They are criminals. period.

My point is that punishment for crimes in this country are not equitable. I think you know what I mean.

I read all this day before yesterday. Makes my head spin as I know many of the folks mentioned including the lead character. Not surprised with that one but the supporting cast including banks, CPAs and others really surprise me.
Haven't figured out why the judge mentioned doesn't want to recuse.
Given other things I've heard, this could get into FSA personnel also as TD seems to have manipulated payments there.

I was wondering if this would make it here. According to the FBI this is the largest fraud case in the history of Louisiana .

Edwin Edwards is laughing at this post.

I would assume he pocketed way north of 30 million on the Casino deals.

Note to self: when committing the largest fraud scheme in the history of Louisiana, or any state for that matter, make sure you spell the guy's name right whose signature you are forging on the fraudulent loan documents.

Amazing story

I know some of the players in this card game. Tommy is lucky that he did this shite in north LA, as most of these cats he fricked over are Jesus loving, down to earth people. He screwed them over badly and probably deserves some concrete boots.

Also, I have it on good authority that one of these baws snuck into Tommy's camp/house and left a big steaming shite on his dining room table.

As alpha a move as that might seem, I believe the camp being torched would have been the choice of many OT ballers here
