Dressing up (ie putting on your nice LSU shirt) to go to these places = trashy
Taking a day off to have lunch with your grandfather there three months after your grandmother died after a lengthy battle with breast cancer = not trashy

Not poor, just unimaginative. I like to try local places, but my wife and kid are addicted to chains, so it's to chains we go for bland, boring food and an ambience that can bbest be described as irritating.
