Please start a thread about tipping at Sonic next.
I'm not going to put down on people who eat at shitty restaurants because that is the only choice for many people. I'm very thankful I live in a place with hundreds of great restaurants.

when traveling for work, sometimes you just want some place close to the hotel, which is usually chains
also depends on the city
if it is some larger city, yeah I'll look at Yelp or Urbanspoon, but if it is some small town in OK, I'm just walking to the nearest whatever and going back to the hotel

Mostly because I just want to relax, not think, and be able to wear shorts and a t-shirt. Now that I think about it, some would consider that attitude trashy.

I'm a chain guy when out of town on business as well. Just don't want to hassle with finding out what's good, etc.
