Just when you think it couldn't get any more surreal over there, they always step up their game.

I think they're down to tweets and Alex Jones as the only reputable news sources.

It sounds like this coal baron billionaire has Martin Shkreli doing his PR. He's stepping in way more shite by filing suit

Yep. That dumbass is about to learn first hand about the Streisand effect. Couldn't happen to a better a-hole.

So you've basically gone from saying Oliver clearly slandered him and his business to "it won't get tossed in day 1"? Again, I'm not entirely sure what you're arguing here. Just because he files in a favorable venue and somehow doesn't have it immediately tossed on a 12(b)(6) doesn't make the actual facts and argument of his case any more meritorious than if it was dismissed before Comedy Central and Oliver even answer.

Hey a-hole! Your big words and jargon are hurting my head.

Someone should hang a plaque in his office that says: You're only making it worse, Bob.

You know, to remind him to not go after professional mockers who actually call him out on the show and beg him to sue.

He should sue him for not being funny, impersonating a comic.

This coal segment was actually both informative and funny.

I was assuming he put up info or directed people towards Murray's company during his spiel, but was apparently wrong. Like I said, I don't watch people delivering opinion pieces

So you'll spend an hour arguing about a news segment, but won't spend 10 minutes to see what you're arguing about?

"He's a liberal! He's obviously wrong!"

That's the exact attitude SJWs take about conservatives. And it's equally wrong and poisonous to our country. I work and talk about things with people at work, that have mostly opposite views as me. But there's no venom. It's all about everyone talking that will make America great again. Not arguing like it's a damn college football rivalry.

You can't just say mean things about people and expect to get away with it. The first amendment was made to protect people from speech. frick this Oliver guy.

This is a great thread. It restores my faith that people in Louisiana can cogently critique both sides in politics, given how delusional the Poli board can be. I had no idea about the Bork suit. Well done, everyone.

No doubt. I went back and read the last couple of pages after this comment.

I don't blame for people not wanting to watch his Trump segments. But he does some great segments that are incredible and well researched. He's done a lot of bipartisan segments that have an effect on everyone's lives. People are doing themselves a disservice by writing him off altogether, because of his political leanings.

Yep. Especially when it's a professional comedian that has millions of viewers each week.
