Haha. Yeah I know. I only weigh 160 so I'm not concerned about my weight, but I'm in my late 20s and I'm trying to get into the groove of exercising more and eating better before the inevitable metabolism crash turns me into a fat frick.

Guthrie's sucks baw.
Foosackly's is the GOAT. The Canes on campus at UA is pretty good. But I like Canes and Zaxbys better than Guthries.

I destroy box combos after a night out, that shite speaks to me

I wish they'd use a different type of box. The Styrofoam containers they use get sweaty inside and it makes the crust soggy and it just pulls away from the chicken.
Don't eat there often, but this is my general complaint when I go.

That is my biggest gripe with Canes besides their tenders getting smaller and smaller. The styrofoam box traps so much steam. When I go take it home, I open the box as soon as I have it handed to me. That keeps the fries from getting all soggy and keeps the breading from coming off the chicken.
The price is just too high for the product now. I only go when there is nothing I am in the mood for. It is never great but not usually disappointing, either.

When did Cane's stop using the tenderloins and switch to the breast?
Posted on 12/9/14 at 9:52 am to USMCTiger03
They fry subpar chicken tender and Oreida crinkle fries.
Only good things are the toast (sometimes it's bad like they used some kind of oil instead of butter) and the sweet tea , which is always solid.

Which fast food restaurant in the Hammond area (where you live) serves par chicken tenders, and which fast food restaurants serve better-than-par chicken tenders?

Only difference being that at Guthrie's the chicken is never frozen
I thought it was not frozen at Cane's either.

Chicken tenders in general aren't that great. But popeyes blows it out the water. And chik fil a (it's still fried chicken).
It's because like everyone else said, batter always falls off (even eating in the restaurant, and the fries are cheap, no flavor, and soggy.

Think someone posted here before that Canes chicken is shipped in at 28 degrees , which is I guess freezing by normal standards but not industry standards.
Might be off on that 28 degree number though.

Yes, but it's relative. You said subpar chicken tenders which implies that it's bad even for chicken tenders.
Chick-fil-A's chicken tenders are great but I've never really thought that Popeye's had better quality chicken tenders than Cane's.

Canes here in Hammond 7 out of 10 times has chewy chicken. That's the times it's truly below what chicken tender should be.
The other times, it's just not as good as other places.

dont remember the exact temp but they def arent frozen. the only time i ever saw something close to frozen there was when it was 30 degrees outside and the truck was running colder than normal and there was a little bit of ice in the box

As a huge Canes fan, I do agree that the quality of their food has declined a bit.
