People think giraffes have skinny deer legs. It would be like trying to break a small tree with a bat. Hitting one in the leg is only going to piss him off and make him kill you quicker.

Yeah that's what I was wondering. I figured an animal that heavy must have strong bones so a wooden bat strike might not do much.

Animals that weigh less than me AND don't have sharp claws.

Dogs aren't so hard to fight as long as you're not caught off guard. They only fight with their mouths.

A big cat on the other hand? No fricking chance. You can't avoid 2 sets of claws and a mouth full of fangs.

And people are vastly overestimating baseball bats. Larger animals have much thicker bones and thicker skulls.

You'd be wore out before you could put a dent in a cow's skull.

She's got size on me but I'm shifty and quick so I could eventually tire her out.

Pretty sure I could take a Koala bear. Like Mitch Hedberg said, "that would be the cutest infestation ever"

I was doing a little bit of research on my ostrich idea, and I found this.

quote:

If your life is in danger and you have a stout stick, a hard blow to the ostrich's neck will usually break its neck and kill the animal.

I'm feeling a little more confident especially with a baseball bat. I knew those necks look flimsy.

Eta:

There's also this:

quote:

Ostriches have terrible ground fighting skills. If you can manage to get behind one, cinch your arm around its neck tightly and use your momentum to fall to one side. While on the ground and keeping hold of the neck, make sure to chop the throat repeatedly until the bird loses consciousness.

Please get a hold of me so I can film this.
Also, I would like to mount it's head on my front porch as a warning to other ostriches to keep the f out.

I'll say an adult male pit bull, and I know that from experience because I had to get ahold of one coming at me and take it to the ground and pin it down until the owner came outside to see what all the noise was.
Where the hell on his body did you grab it by? How much damage did you sustain? Please elaborate.
