While on the ground and keeping hold of the neck, make sure to chop the throat repeatedly until the bird loses consciousness.

Finally the right answer. If its domesticated enough to let you get close, one good swing to the head should at least knock it out.
The thought of one of you frickers walking up to a cow eating grass in a pasture and just smacking the thing in the head with a baseball bat

Where the hell on his body did you grab it by? How much damage did you sustain? Please elaborate
Grabbed his collar which was made of a pretty thick leather I believe and just tackled him to the ground. I am 265 lbs., so once I had leverage I was able to hold him down mma style. It definitely felt like I was wrestling a grown arse man though, those frickers are stronger than I ever imagined.
Looking back on it now, grabbing the collar helped out a lot, I don't know what the result would have been had he not been wearing a collar.
He did get a good bite on my wrist/forearm at first when I was reaching for the collar, but the most pain I had was when I came down on my knee on concrete when jumping on him.

Do people here realize that any wild cat basically has 10 knives attached to it's 2 front legs?

I considered fighting a wild boar. He ran like a bitch tho when I pulled up riding shotgun in my friend's F-150 King Ranch.
