I've been going to the same barber for 25 years. He is probably 90, as he is a WW2 vet. Does exactly what I want every time. It's $12 for a haircut and I give him a $20.
Every time he tries to refuse the tip.

I'll be sad when he goes.

(Claude Todano, I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets cut by him)

I've had the same girl cutting my hair for 14 years. I pay probably about $400 a year. She never screws up my hair and has no problem tossing her boobs around in my face. I don't go to the barbershop to hang out and bullshite because I'm not a woman and Ice Cube isn't cutting my hair.

I assume he doesn't do a straight razor shave or neck shave anymore? If he does that's living on the edge.

So, if you're LE, do you sit outside the boardroom and wait for guys to leave and peg them for DUI? Seems there's going to be a lot of drunk milktoast looking dudes walking out. Also, how many of those female 'barbers' are going to get propositioned in there? I'm guessing all of them.

They call themselves a salon?! Men don't go to salons.

This is one of the most pretentious things I've seen. A fricking membership fee and they still charge you. How many locations are in Dallas?

I've only had 2 women cut my hair in my life that I ENJOYED cutting my hair. Both were back when my Mom and Dad were still paying for my haircuts.

Been a while.

Have not been to a barber shop in years. Got my own clippers and trained the wife.

Of course I have a man's haircut and not the girly stuff you young guys are doing.

My guy still does straight razor. Always has. Been going to him since my first haircut.

I just get shaves from him now though, just cut my own hair as i dont have much to cut anymore.

This isn't as bad as it sounds.

The membership you sign up for pays for the services that are in the membership...

This is directly from their website

quote:

The Express

Unlimited number of The Express services per year.

The Executive

Unlimited number of The Benchmark services per year.

The CEO

The Executive plus 6 Hand Grooming services and 6 Foot Grooming or 6 Business Facials services per year.

The Chairman

The Executive plus 6 Hand Grooming Services, 6 Executive Facials and 6 Therapeutic Massages per year.

So if you pay the $745 for the Executive, your haircuts are paid for. So you should go as often as you like (once a week should be enough in my opinion).

So you aren't paying for a membership as well as the haircut. The haircut is covered in the membership fee as are other things depending on the level you pay for. Other things like a beard shave will still cost extra.

This would be a nice thing to have in an area if the upper class does not want to hang out in the same areas as the lower class.

Thought the price shown was a discounted price? But you still payed it?

$745 is a chunk of change, but if it's covered from that point forward, it's not THAT bad.

No. There are memberships and there are a la carte items.

Memberships cover haircuts plus a few extras depending on "level"

Everything isn't covered in the membership. On those things you will get a 10% discount.

It honestly doesn't seem that bad if you go often enough to get a cleanup and the other services (hot towel, face and head massage, etc.) and a beer. I could see making this a Friday afternoon routine. Go 45 Fridays a year (accounting for out of town, too busy, etc.) plus a $5-10 tip and you are looking at $20-25 a visit to relax with a beer and someone massaging your head and hands and always having a clean looking head of hair.

I'm not saying I'd do it, but someone could make it a good deal if they took full advantage.
