Legit shithole. The people are weird. Very small town uppity. But kind of on the trashy side for the most part. Would rather be around the snobs on the NS than Alexandria. At least they have something to be snobby about.

This is unsupportable.

My parents both grew up in Pineville. Glad they got out before I was born, but my dad often wonders about moving back there in his later years. My grandparents still live there...I worked there for a summer after my freshman year of college, it wasn't that bad. Just really boring at times. Pineville is still holding on to the small town atmosphere, which is really nice, but Alexandria (for the most part) is shite. I don't mind the holidays out there though.

I lived in Alexandria for a couple of years during my middle school days (Brame Jr. High), and again for a year when I first started college at LSU-A (1995-96) before transferring to the Baton Rouge campus. I had some friends at LSU-A and enjoyed my time there to the extent I could, but I didn't go out a lot because I was 17 and living with my parents in Oakdale. I have only one recommendation: if you have a job where you'll be wearing a suit or jacket and tie, I strongly encourage you to go to Weiss and Goldring in the mall. They have a really good selection of men's clothing and folks that know how to make you look like you know how to dress. Esquire names W & G in their annual fashion issue's Gold Standard list, every year.

the oyster bar is a cool spot to hit while you are out on the lake, but the restaurant is the usual fried seafood place. Don's, Ralph & Kacoo's, similar.

used to do computer work for them. But, i was always there in the morning so, didn't see any action. The location seemed pretty cool. The lake looks awesome.

JYD nailed it. Mirror Room has little selection and is way overpriced. Do not go to Finnnigans to watch a game bc they have no tv's.

As many have said, if you hunt or fish, you'll lIke it here. This place is on par to McComb, Ms. Both incredibly boring
