The early 12z intensity guidance appears to have found the crack stash
The overnight guidance came in with stronger ridging over the top of the system as it moves towards the WCarb and Gulf. This keeps it really far south and drives whatever there is towards the Yucatan and Belize. The models have been too aggressive with ridging in the medium to longer range at times this summer. That is something to keep an eye on as this moves west. Development should be slow over the next few days, following the John Hope Rule.
