20 years on Tigerdroppings

I registered this username on this site 20 years ago today. I still remember it very clearly. I was at home with one of my sick kids and I went to DandyDon.com to read about the baseball team. I saw on the links on the dandydon.com page a link to Tigerdroppings.com.

I clicked on it and ended up here. What a long strange trip its been.

I have posted on the site from 4 of the 7 continents. We have raised three kids, put two of our kids through college into adulthood and lost our third due to drug addiction.

In the 20 years on TD.com my wife and I moved from Louisiana to Texas and have completely built new lives and new careers for ourselves. We have met and become friends with numerous people from the site and we have been able to experience really cool things because of the relationships made from the site.

I wont go into the all of the crazy and wonderful and terrible things I have seen on here since a lot of you here experienced it too. Every morning the first thing I do with my cup of coffee is open up TD and check the OT for any breaking news. Then the rant, the the MSB. Every day I can.

About 16 years ago, I was very fortunate to become close to the site owners and join the management of the site. So I feel a special sense of ownership and care about the site and the people here. It is definitely a part of me.

Thanks to Chicken and Circus and the entire crew of admins, family and friends for being so kind to me and my family.

TD.com is more than just an LSU Message Board, it is a community.
I tell anyone I can that this is really a great place and I am glad we all get to share it together.
