I started on Tigerroar, and the chatroom was Tiger Lair. I feel that this site paved the way for TD to succeed. It was a primitive messaging board, but the people on there had personality and in depth knowledge. There were screen names like Yoda and EvilTwin who somehow had all the inside scoop to LSU and college football, including when Spurrier bolted for Washington. It was on there before I saw it on ESPN.
There were memorable topics, like the picture of the Duct Taped Kappa and the origin of the corn dogs post. I wish I had saved that in MS word.
When TD came along, the format was far superior. I had already graduated but my friend still at LSU told me about it during the NC year in 2003.
One by one, little by little, TD purged Tigerlair. I was on both sites, but eventually transitioned to TD for obvious reasons.
It's pretty cool that this site has remained popular after so long and the dawn of social media. Good job Chicken!!!

I enjoyed reading that. I was on the “come up “ 20 years ago, babies in diapers , a whole career ahead of me, trim and fit. 20 years on, here I stand, the faint smell of cheese about me and wearing a gym suit like Costanza in the middle of the day. But always there is Poultry Boy and his hamsters, giving us this great community. Thanks for all your mediocre to good work , it is much appreciated.

Yep. It's the SEC Message board. An oasis among a bunch of homologated, overly commercialized and moderated crap.
I feel about LSU about the way I feel about Auburn. Almost.
But damn if this isn't the best wild-west place to talk CFB (and everything else), then point me to the one that's better.
I used to get a kick out of Shaggy Bevo. TD has survived where they did not.
