We had 5 last season.

4 or 5 is normal for us.

You're talking out of your arse.

Since when has Sean Payton not had a scatback in New Orleans?

He likes to throw too much.

Uhh. Shane Vereen played 5 games last year and had 44 receptions...

Seems like you are talking out of your arse...

Yeah, that's why we keep so many RB's on the team.

Ingram, Robinson, Thomas, and possibly Cadet will all have distinct roles.

We run tons of different packages and no matter what you say, Robinson, Ingram, and PT are all different backs. Fresh legs, rotating packages is a big reason the Saints are difficult to defend. We need another Big WR from this draft to go along with the current personnel to really make it difficult.

and which one of those can we count on to catch over 70 passes that Sproles caught last year?

I think you're going to see a shift to a playaction style offense.

You're right. CSP was convinced we didn't need a player like that...

Which is why he went out immediately and got Sproles. If he thought we didn't need to fill that role, Sproles would never have come to NO.

Cadet, or a draft pick.
Or no scatback at all.

All the HB's will catch balls.

I don't think you understand the Saints running back situation after 2010. Sproles was a high value player as well.

So you don't trust Payton anymore?

...really?

we were on out of the league RBs going into the playoffs. We didn't have Ingram yet, Bush was on a really heavy contract and season ending IR, PT was done for the season as well, and I think even our 1st few 'pickups' got injured too.

ETA: this was describing vereen out of college

scat backs make people miss.

They could have picked up a number of backs, yet opted to pickup a pass catching specialist that is 5'7".

Oh no, I trust Payton. I think more moves are in the pipeline. I cant see him going into the season with someone comparable to Sproles / Bush. (which we don't currently have)

and then drafted Ingram. Added 2 distinctively different running backs and saved a ton of money. PT was coming off an injury and was a free agent. Darren Sproles was a great player at the time too

I thought we couldn't keep them all?
