Here's how I think it will likely work out:
Khiry Robinson - likely new #1 back or splits duties with Mark Ingram
Mark Ingram - power/short-yardage back
Pierre Thomas - new 3rd down back; pass blocking specialist

I can envision 30-36 carries (unless we're playing catch-up) with a fairly even split between these three players. I can also see them

And 1-2 are bound to get nicked up over the course of the season.

I don't understand all this PT has slowed down talk. I love the fact that we have resigned him.

I'm not sure PT has slowed down in general.

But I don't think he has as many snaps per season in him as he used to.

I think this would be CSP hope with MI most likely leaving next year and a young cheap KRob improving his game.
I'm sure they will look to draft or UDFA to improve the RB stable as well.
That KRob improves and the team avg. min 30+ carries a week.

Love PT. He has to be one of the most liked Saints players of all-time.

Ingram is not a power/short yardage guy. Jesus Christ.

This reputation has existed far too long.

Ingram is a pretty finesse runner.
Not power.

Robinson is more power.

and which one of those can we count on to catch over 70 passes that Sproles caught last year?

I hope no running back catches this many passes. I also hope our tight end is not the leading receiver in catches. I would like to see more of a run game and more passes to wide receivers down the field with a tight end helping block.

We will probably draft a mid round quick 3rd down back.

Not sure why we are having this discussion. We had ingram, thomas, robinson, and sproles, they will replace darren with someone
