Odds are he isn't but he could also be good in the future and just not ready yet.

Shouldn't be concerning yet. The entire idea was to bring him along slowly and let him learn. Not to mention that Brees and Payton like to have a vet presence for film study
He's switching to a pro style offense, and we aren't going to change our offensive philosophy to cater to a backup QB. He has a high learning curve, but is an impressive prospect/project, which is why he fell to the 3rd

Well, he certainly is not overwhelmed with a contract & temporary job - after the Jets cut, it was Bloody Mary time "for now" & in November, "hunting season is over" - Guess it's time to go back to work for a few week, guessing for a guaranteed $ 100 K plus incentives - hell, he picked up $ 60 K for two weeks in NY.
Truth is, his game fits a Peyton offense pretty well & he can certainly read a defense - if his tweet personality cries to the field, it's no big deal for him - Peyton does not like a rookie QB as the primary backup
McCowen will have back surgery, so who knows where this goes after the season - as we have learned, Brees is not invincible
