I don't know that I agree, our offense throws the ball a lot and Flynn has struggled before to make it through training cramp even while splitting reps with elbow soreness. I think Flynn is a decent backup but this move actually does surprise me a little.

He offers nothing but being solid in relaying calls, knowing offenses and learning playbooks. His on the field attributes are pretty slim to none. If you're excited because an LSU player will be in a Saints uniform, then just say that. Yes, that is cool and I agree with it. But don't act like Flynn is a good NFL QB.

I think Matt would be more successful in the back up role than Luke.
