can't imagine Byrd being anywhere near affordable

I'd guess 5yrs/$40-42mil. That's what Weddle and Goldson got.

Getting old and maybe giving some hometown discount to finish in NOLA, Ryan Clark might be a hope.

Will ya'll pray with me that they don't elevate Jenkins to $4mil+ if they re-sign him? (he was a $4mil cap hit THIS yr!?!) I'm serious. Some of these second contracts have killed us. I don't wanna see any more like Will Smith's taking $40mil of cap the past 5 years.

A lot of talent available.

I would love to see Drew Bress throwing the ball to Golden Tate or Andre Roberts in the slot. These guys are diamonds in the rough and played in systems that didn't help their talents any. Brees could make them Pro Bowlers.

Danario Alexander and Kenny Britt on a 1 year deal could work. They know their value is at an all time low based upon injuries and off the field issues. Play a year with Drew and they know their stock will be way up come their next contract.

ya know Brees is being intense even for a Pro Bowl Draft. His team selected Dexter McCluster. Might have been some desire to be on the same team for scouting. He would be a solid replacement for Sproles. Rotoworld guesses 3yrs/$8-9mil

Is it still possible we could see a rise in the salary cap this year due to the bloated media contracts?

Cap is going up ~$3.5m. Bigger jumps don't start until 2016.

Santonio Holmes is most likely to be released by the Jets. I think he could be a good fit

I'd like to see us go and get Hakeem Nicks.

I agree Hakeem had a down year and he would thrive in our O as a true number 1 WR but he's still probably out of reach with us trying to re-sign Graham. Don't see us making any big signings. Probably alot of depth guys. And try to pick up another Corner in the draft.

for $82 million Alex

Hardy= more than Paul Kruger last year
Byrd= Goldson money last year
both has 5yr/$41mil deals

Let's get the cap down from $17mil over first. Graham will take some bucks first no matter how that shakes out. Oh, there are holes at RT & C too.

I'm also not a fan of paying megabucks for turning a 4-3DE into a 3-4OLB either. Some can (Galette) but many shouldn't even try (Will Smith).

James Jones

He's someone I could see us targeting. I wonder what he is going to be asking for contract wise.

If we have to go the cheap route, I would be good with taking a chance on Denario Alexander. He's had a lot of injury issues, but he looked pretty good with San Diego for the 10 games in played in 2012.

he might reach the Saints affordability. He has stated pretty strongly that he wants to return to GB tho. Their GM doesn't hand out many deals for 30+yo players tho.

I would love to get Jeremy Maclin, Hakeem Nicks and Aquib Talib. Ben Tate would be an awesome pickup and feature back, but I know I am dreaming.

Kenny Britt could possibly be a steal, if he ever stopped being a douche.

Again i would like to emohasize that Talib wont hit the open market in all likelyhood.

If he does, he will command Asumough money from 2011. So i dont think the saints could take on another big money contract like that, especially if Graham is tagged and clogging up Cap Space

But im 95 percent sure the Pats will Tag Talib so its moot really
