His name is Talib, Aqib Talib. He makes the rustles get all jimmied.

Jeremy Maclin
Emmanuel Sanders

Sam Shields (I don't think we can get him)
Tarell Brown (who I don't see on the list)
the most realistic financially. As noted tho, even Shields and/or Maclin could be too spendy
My early FA hope is Nick Folk. He has been on one year deals for 4 seasons with the Jets. Age 29. In 4 years in not a great kicking venue (MetLife) he has gone 81% in FGs. Good leg too, 11 of 18 from 50+. Proven producer in bad weather. I'd guess sumpin like $15mil for 5 years.
Special team failures is what pointed the Seattle game towards losing. Morstead (even tho guilty in that game) has the punter spot solidified. I want the kicking spot the same way. I hate to get into the kicker merry go round cycle when you are contending.

Peanut Tillman might be an option. He's 33 and had an injury plagued season, but we may be able to get him on the cheap to play 1 or 2 yrs for a contender.
He would create turnovers.

+1.5 on Maclin. He will come on the cheap due to his injury history, and he has loads of talent.
Here is a REASONABLE list from the MDS (Decker will be too much $$$ fellas):
WR:
Maclin
Em Sanders (though he may cost more and bring less talent)
James Jones
McCluster (brings speed and return abilities, though we really need an AllPurpose WR ala Maclin)
RB:
Andre Brown (if we part with PT for his cap space, then AB will be had for the cheap with equal skillset)
CB:
Thurmond (any CB from SEA would be great: well tought and he has played at a high level)
Browner (See Thrumond Comma Walter)
C:
Mack (though he may command $$$, centers usually are had on the cheap)
ILB:
Spikes (has experience in hybrid 3-4/4-3 defense, and he brings speed to position that we are desperately lacking... may cost $$$, but a premium at ILB is much lower than other postions)

Good guy. I think a rotoworld blurb sums him up nicely tho...
Impending free agent CB Peanut Tillman has no plans to retire, but acknowledges he might not be back with the Bears in 2014.
Recovering from a torn triceps, Tillman is coming off a lost season where he appeared in only eight games. He'll turn 33 next month. Tillman is just one year removed from a monster campaign, but it's not unusual for cornerbacks to go downhill quickly after they turn 30. Tillman is 50-50 to re-up with Chicago. Savvy GM Phil Emery surely will not break the bank.
--the bold reminds me of Nmandi last year. He was good at one time but obviously was done. Dunno on Tillman. Vet minimum prove it contract would be cool if they think he actually has gas left.

I don't dig paying kickers and punters 3 to 4 million per year. frick that. Give me Talib mother fricker. You saying we can't afford talib but want to pay top kicker dollar. frick that.

I'm ok with this. He was terrible early in his career, but he has become a solid player. I still would rather a 5th pick on a stud (if there is one this year), but wouldn't object to NF

Yeah i take Folk but Im sure we could get for less than what you said.

Boswell from Rice is on the top of most Kicker boards. I dunno if he rates good enough to even justify a draft pick tho.
Some may prefer the kicker on the cheap and ride the kicker merry go round for a few years. Ya know, a different vet or rookie or two every year until they fail, then bring in another.
Denver & Seattle had the top two FG kickers in % good at 94-86%. The Saints were 30th at 75%. I contend that Nick Folk's 33 of 36 (being 11 more pts than NOLA FGs) would have been the difference in at least two more wins this season.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe a cap situation update would be useful here-
Current 2014 Saints about $139mil. That's expected to be $12-15mil OVER the cap to start off with
Okay, cut Will Smith, subtract $11.5mil, still OVER the cap a few mil
Cut some more to get to EVEN
Now find some money if ya want a new deal for-
Malcolm Jenkins
Zack Strief
Brian De la Puente
Parys Haralson
Shayne Graham
Luke McCown
Jimmy Graham
Will Herring
Ramon Humber
Charles Brown
Keyunta Dawson
Eric Frampton
Robert Meachem
Allot some cash if ya want to retain RFAs-
Tom Johnson
Rafael Bush
Joe Morgan
Jed Collins
Okay, do all THAT and you are ready to spend. How much ya got? CAP HELL only gets harder the more contracts that are rolled forward.

O absolutely I agree, personally I think kicker should be top priority in the offseason.

Collusion is even better. Let Brees do a new discounted deal even better than Bradys last re-do. Benson writes him an undisclosed contract that pays him $20mil for a cheesey staff position with the team upon retirement.

I really hope we don't go into the season relying on a 2nd year UDFA at Center. I'd rather DLP, who can't cost THAT much to re-sign. We need to upgrade this spot badly going into next season, and Lelito would not be the solution.

When does free agency start this year? I know the draft was moved back due to scheduling conflict or some shite.

You don't know that. Lelito could be a great solution, they've watched him practice and develop for a year now, IF That's their plan and I say IF... it's their plan because they are comfortable with his development already. He's played 2 games for us this year and I think both games he was knicked up as well and toughed it out. Who the hell was BDLP 2nd year in his career? A nobody, that's who. When you are a team that is cap strapped, you need to make shite happen. YOu can't go out and spend 4 million on kicker and draft a center with 2nd or 3rd round picks. Those picks are too damn valuable at other positions needing replenishing.
