It isn't a fact, it is my opinion based on the Dolphins and Cowboys being the front runners for him.

It's an intelligent way for him to keep more money after getting railroaded and losing a shite ton of income.

I've never claimed to have "sources". That was what set off this entire debate.

or maybe it's because they were the ones pursueing him. If the Saints had pursued him the way the cowboys did, Don't you think it would have been noticed and reported. If Benson and Paytone were flying to BR to wine and dine him it would be hard to keep a secret. Why would they want to keep it a secret anyway.

The truth is we don't know.... No one knows... We will never know. Collins is not a Saint and never will be. Can't we just leave it at that? What good does it do to argue about what happened when we can never know what really did happen? Sit back, relax and wait for Collins' tell all book after he's inducted into the hall of fame in 30 years.

oh ok so I guess that settles it. It's not like free agents don't go to teams that are in states with an income tax all the time or anything.

The Saints didn't pursue him because they figured no way he would want to play for them, dispite just being down the road from his home, because they figured that he figured that because Lousiana has a state income tax, what would be the point. Makes since.

Where did I say the saints didn't pursue him or show interest in him? That's the opposite of what I've been arguing.

That was an explanation of one of the reasons it made sense for him to go to the Cowboys or Miami. It isn't an opinion exclusive to me either.

The difference is that I'm not claiming sources or that it is a fact like some in this thread.

I'm done with this topic. It's worn out.

That they didn't pursue him in a big way is not in question by evidence, but it appears that they may not have pursued him at all. Either way it is absolute stupidity on their part. If this didn't follow a pattern of stupidity and arrogance on their part regarding personnel decisions it wouldn't be such a big deal. Right now Peat and Collins should be our starting guards with Unger at center and Sreif and Armstead at tackles. Maybe we wouldn't be in the position we are in now with that lineup and this season wouldn't be over before it even started.

What bothers me more than Collins is taking SJB instead of Jarvis Landry.

There is no connections between the Saints and LSU. It's very obvious.
